Friends of CVPS

Welcome to the Friends of Clayton Village Primary School (CVPS)

About Us

The Friends of CVPS is the PTA group associated with the school. We are run on a voluntary basis by parents/guardians/carers, as well as staff members and members of the local community who have an interest in our school.

What We Do

We work to raise funds for CVPS, primarily by staging fundraising events. The proceeds of which are used to purchase additional resources which would not otherwise be available through the standard school budget. We are currently working towards becoming a registered charity - this will enable us to apply for a number of grants.

The Friends also organise non-profit events with the purpose of bringing together the school community.

Who are We

The Friends of CVPS committee, elected annually at the Annual General Meeting (AGM), run meetings and co-ordinate events.

The elected committee for 2016 is as follows:

Chair - Mrs Ann Creed

How you can help

In addition to our Committee Members, who deal with the planning and organising of events, as well as financial matters, we also have our 'Helping Hands'. If you are not on the Committee but would still like to be involved, we are always looking for those whom we can call upon to help out - whether it is helping making decorations, baking cakes, running stalls, putting up posters, spreading the word about upcoming events, or simply by joining us on facebook and twitter, - we'd love for you to offer a Helping Hand.

The Friends of CVPS meet a minimum of twice per term.

Everyone is welcome to attend meetings and contribute ideas.

If you are unable to attend a meeting, but would still like to contribute you can always relay details via any member of the committee or email (

You can contact any member of the Friends through the school office, via email, or alternatively join our facebook and twitter feeds.

The Friends of CVPS would genuinely like to hear from you…. All feedback and suggestions, as well as offers of help, are most welcome.
